All registered Democrats are invited to a Zoom meeting on Saturday, July 31st at 2pm at which time candidates will be elected to attend the Democratic State Convention to be held Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at The Tsongas Conference Center at UMASS Lowell (with virtual attendance options available).
Mary Richards, Chair of the Democratic Town Committee, urged Democrats to run for Convention delegate: “This is a great opportunity to meet fellow Democrats and elected officials. There will be break-out sessions, and opportunities to meet elected officials on a national and state level and attend various receptions and parties throughout the city.”
All registered Democrats can run for a delegate seat. Sixteen and seventeen year-old high school students who turned age sixteen by June 15th can pre-register to vote during registration on day of caucus and can run for delegate seats. Several Youth, Disabled, and Minority Add-On Delegate slots are available, as well as volunteer positions.
Even if you do not plan to run for delegate or alternate, we encourage all Democrats to attend the Caucus. This is an important meeting and all registered Clinton Democrats are able to vote.
